Wading Greater Yellowlegs

This is a Greater Yellowlegs ( Tringa melanoleuca ) which is a long-legged wader. The Greater Yellowlegs is slightly bigger than the Lesser Yellowlegs ( Tringa flavipes ) and it has a bill that usually appears slightly upturned. They often feed actively, running after fish or other fast-moving aquatic prey.
