Nature Wins

Haida Gwaii, British Columbia

At the start of World War II this logging camp became a source of high quality Sitka spruce. The wood was light, strong and used to build aircraft, including the famous mosquito bomber. I found this logger work boot which is slowly being overgrown with moss.
